Yes, it seemed like a good idea to take a comical route in reporting on the House committee's findings regarding the January the inquiry.
We found out just how much pressure former President Trump, aka King Con Don, applied on Mike Pence to circumvent the democratic process and declare him the winner of the 2020 election.
We also learned just how close Pence was to actual danger. Remember, the assembled crowd had built a gallows and were shouting their desire to hang Mike Pence. At one point, the crowd came within 40 feet of Vice-President Pence, evidently.
Trump had no compunction to hold back on insulting his own Vice-President once he dared displease him. He referred to Pence as a “coward.”
We also learned that Pence refused to leave the Capitol building because he refused to allow the imagery of the sitting Vice-President being chased out of such an iconic symbol of American democracy for the world to see. Not sure that Pence qualifies as a hero, but I will give him credit for at least having enough respect for the democratic process to allow it to work, and not give in to a power hungry tyrant, his boss.
These guys really are such idiots, such clowns, that if the subject matter was not so deadly serious, it would actually be quite funny. A power hungry, yet incompetent tyrant, the straight guy serving under him who might not actually be so straight, the inebriated head lawyer who makes wild claims about massive voter fraud before cameras while stressing that he is not making this argument once under oath in the court rooms, when he is literally leaking black hair dye, and who misleads the press about the location intended for the "Four Seasons" press conference.
Ah, 'Murica.
