France Scores Historically Dominant Win in World Cup of Rugby

 

France just obliterated one opponent at the Rugby World Cup. They defeated Namibia 96-0, which I believe now stands as the most lopsided win for France in it's entire history.

Unfortunately for Namibia, this was not the worst defeat that it suffered in history. Not even close, apparently. Back in 2003, they lost to Australia, 142-0.

However, this one will be remembered, as well. And France surely must have boosted it's confidence with such an incredibly lopsided win like this one.

I would have thought that Namibia, being historically almost related and associated with South Africa, would have been better. Rugby is a passion for many Afrikaners in South Africa and, presumably, in Namibia as well. It is almost surprising that they are not better than they are, although they also have only about one million people in the country. So I guess that the pool of talent is relatively thin.

In any case, this score alone is enough to raise eyebrows. So it seemed worth sharing the story here.
