Having researched a little bit on the fountains of Kansas City, it seemed to me like the Volker Fountain was going to be one of the very best.
Somehow, it proved to be disappointing.
The pictures showed this massive fountain cascading down steps on a wall. But when we got there, it was dry. Not really spectacular at all.
Maybe something went wrong, and they are working on it? Or maybe they only run those fountains like that on special occasions?
I have no idea. All I really know is that this experience felt more than a little disappointing.
