Paul Pogba, a French star of football/soccer who helped the French team win the World Cup in Russia in 2018, has tested positive for performance enhancing drugs.
Now, the star, after years of decline with his football skills, is facing a ban that could possibly last up to four years. That could effectively end his professional career.
“Football is very beautiful, but it’s cruel,” Pogba said. “People can forget you. You can do something great – the next day, you’re nobody.”
Pogba's suspension was provisional, yet also effective immediately, meaning that he is not playing football right at the moment.
However, Pogba is calling for another test, which there apparently will be. If he fails that test, on the other hand, he could face the maximum penalty which, again, may prematurely end his football career.
