Record Heat Waves in Japan & Australia

There has been an alarming trend in recent years, as numerous regions around the world are seeing record heat wave.

Very recently, despite the lateness of the warm weather season, Japan was continuing with a record heat wave.

And in southeastern Australia, there is a heat wave going on right now, even though this is, technically, still late winter/early spring for them.

This past summer, there were record heat waves again on the Arabian peninsula, in North America (particularly the West and the Midwest), and in Asia, particularly China, South Korea, and Japan.

Again, I share these kinds of articles not to be alarmist, but to share awareness. After all, some people still apparently don't see the forest for the trees. In this day, when facts not only fail to wield the power that they once did, but in fact, often no longer seem to matter, it is important that we recognize this truth in particular as a reality. Not too long ago - back in the late eighties and early nineties, when I first began to be truly aware of the environmental crisis that we were facing - it seemed that most people were still literally laughing at the idea of global warming/climate change. Fewer are laughing these days, and most people - even Americans - now accept it as true.

Still, when you see news headlines like this, it seems to me worth sharing, for what it's worth. Maybe then, even the doubters begin to see that this is indeed not normal, and that this trend really is occurring all around the world.
