Ann Coulter Apparently Feels Genocide of Native Americans Did Not Go Far Enough

On her X account, Ann Coulter responded to a video clip of a Native American woman saying something which Coulter clearly did not appreciate by saying something completely unacceptable regardless of how she meant it or what kind of a reaction she was clearly expecting of hoping for.

Here is what Coulter said, in what apparently is a real X post:

"We didn't kill enough Indians"

Wow.

Of course, the name Ann Coulter will automatically conjure up no shortage of controversies and stupid statements or quotes. After all, it is pretty well known that she seems to thrive on making provocative statements. Yet she outdid herself yesterday, by suggesting that the genocide of Native Americans did not quite go far enough in her view.

Granted, there is freedom of speech in the United States (or at least there has been traditionally, although that may be increasingly questionable at this point). And yes, she obviously has a long history of saying things specifically to try and get a rise out of people, particularly libtards. In that spirit, I did not want to be too easily triggered, especially if this wound up being untrue (which a part of me still suspects, because this feels too outrageous even for Coulter).

However, this feels like it went beyond merely crossing some sort of line, even for her. This just happened, and there were no news stories or reports that I found on the subject, which seemed a little suspicious to me. If this is indeed real - and in fairness, I had some difficulty finding it, probably because I don't actually have an X account and was unable to access it at times - it feels blatantly racist and even genocidal in nature, regardless of what "context" she will claim she was saying it in.

Below is a picture of the X post, apparently real, in which she said it:

Here is the source. Again, even though I am not - and never have been - a fan of Ann Coulter, I am hoping, both for her sake and the sake of our society more generally - that this will prove to be fake. That Coulter did not, in fact, stoop so low as to post something like this. Frankly, it seems almost too outrageous even for her, but time will tell. Here is the link:

  1. As far as I can tell based on a bit of online research, she actually did post that. I can't say I'd be remotely surprised if it were to be proven beyond the shadow of a doubt. I don't know if you've ever watched any of Comedy Central's celebrity roasts (either on TV or on YouTube) or if you're familiar with their format, but she was one of the guests when they roasted Rob Lowe. Everyone took turns roasting him and the other guests in attendance. And although lots of the content was very raunchy and off-color, the overall vibe for the most part was "We're all friends here and this is in good fun and not intended to hurt or offend." But when they turned their focus to Ann Coulter, things got absolutely *BRUTAL*. You could tell she was taken aback by the sheer magnitude of the vicious takedowns to which she was subjected by pretty much everyone there. I almost felt sorry for her, but she never goes very long without reminding everyone exactly why she's so widely despised and reviled. Just an awful, awful human being.

    1. It always seemed to me that truly hard core conservatives rarely have a decent sense of humor. Perhaps that is part of the reason for their bitterness.

  2. Ann is as relevant these days to reactionary conservatism as hulu hoops are to pop culture. She sent her rescue-me-from-obscurity tweet with expected results. Ugly and racist and stupid, but calculated to draw attention to her much-faded brand. Who knows what she really believes? It's all about clicks and other attention. If ugly and racist and stupid works for her, she will say the most outlandish, outageous things whatever she truly thinks. Because, ultimately, all that counts is $$$$$$$$$$.

    1. Agreed. She also seemed supportive of Trump obtaining the $400 million jet from Qatar, which felt to me like an attempt to get back into his and MAGA's good graces. To be relevant again (if she ever truly was). Agreed also that she s stupid and her line of thinking backwards, and that there is really no way to tell what she actually believes. Also agreed that it is likely that what she truly believes in is $$$$$$$$$$$$.
