Many Trump supporters would describe themselves as good Christians. Indeed, if not for strong support from Evangelical Christians, there is a good chance that Trump never would have become president.
So how is it that supposedly good Christians can, in good conscience, support all that this man and his pathetic excuse for an administration stand for and do?
Here is a case in point: having just scrapped the USAID program, the Trump administration is going back on it's promise of making sure that this emergency food will reach hungry mouths. Instead, they are going to burn the food. Literally.
Is this how good Christians are supposed to act? Is this what good Christians are supposed to support?
You know, I will admit that I never was a believer in Christianity, or any other established faith, for that matter. However, there have been points when I have been curious about their beliefs, and began to read and gain exposure to some of their readings and such. And while there still are some beautiful parts of the Bible - such as the Beatitudes and the Sermon on the Mount, which were the true teachings of Jesus - it feels like these fake Christians who seem only to use their faith in a card-carrying manner to gain whatever benefits they can from them have essentially hijacked the image of Christianity as a whole.
I, for one, cannot take them seriously anymore. There may have been a time when I felt like perhaps I did not understand their faith, and so wanted to respect it. But no longer. These actions are evil, pure and simple. And thus, anyone who supports these kinds of actions and this bending over backwards to be cruel approach is allowing Trump and the MAGA movement to let their evil nature to win out. Nobody forced it, they did this to themselves.
This is clearly not in anything that Jesus ever taught or promoted. Period.
