Will the Epstein Controversy Be What Finally Ends the MAGA Dominance? Not Likely

The whole Epstein thing is really blowing up right now, isn't it?

Some people seem certain that this will be the thing that divides, and thus ends, the political dominance of MAGA.

Now, I would love to believe that. But as far as that goes, I'll believe it when I see it. I mean, Trump really is the ultimate Teflon President. Forget Reagan or Clinton or Bush Jr. Frankly, they looked like amateurs by way of comparison. I mean, really, Trump lies and lies and lies, often obvious lies at that. Yet, no one calls him out on it. He broke his campaign promises in the first administration. No, he didn't build the wall and make Mexico pay for it, or build a national healthcare system that was affordable and would cover everyone, or make the rest of the world respect us more as a nation (he was literally laughed at before the entire United Nations during a speech), and he didn't go a long way to paying the national debt, instead adding over 25% to it during his four years. He had a hard time criticizing outright neo-Nazis and blatant white supremacists, didn't back away when received the support of the Ku Klux Klan, and referred to dozens of countries as "shithole nations." Then he got his ass kicked in the 2020 election, but refused to concede the election, claiming that it was stolen from him. He kept this going despite his legal team bending over backwards in court, under oath, not to argue massive voter fraud.

Did his supporters ever question any of that?

Nope.

He should have faced serious ramifications for his leading role with January 6th, which I still feel was an attempted coup.

But he got away with it, predictably. He also got away with taking loads of files of classified documents and bringing it to his home at Mar-a-Lago. Nothing happened to him.

In 2022, he suggested that parts of the Constitution might need to be suspended.

Did that hurt his chances in the 2024 presidential race? Not at all. He blew Ron DeSantoris out of the water and predictably clinched the Republican nomination, and then won the general election, based largely on a platform of revenge for his political enemies (because nothing brings a country together like constantly focusing on vengeance against political foes), as well as lowering the price of groceries and gas, and quickly at that. He would end the war in Ukraine in one day. Also, he would release the Epstein files, for full transparency.

Let us take a look at what he has done so far in his second term. Did he lower the price of gas and groceries? Nope. Did he manage to end the war in Ukraine? Not even close. Did he release the Epstein files, as promised? Again, no.

So now, MAGA seems to be disturbed, and some are turning on him.

But look, Trump and Epstein were close friends for many years. They are in a ton of photographs together, as well as a video. It is obvious that they had a relationship that might make many uncomfortable. Plus, let's face it: Trump has a history of revealing his predatory sexual behavior. Remember him bragging about getting access into the dressing rooms of top models, or how when you are a big star like him, women let you do anything, let you grab them by the pussy?

Really, it doesn't take much to draw a clear conclusion as to why Trump now doesn't want any Epstein client list released, doesn't it?

And does it take a genius to figure out that the argument Trump is now making, that the Democrats (his political enemies, how convenient) made the list to try to discredit him? After all, if the Democrats made the list, and he topped it, then why wouldn't they have released that list when in charge? Hello?

So no, I doubt that MAGA will suddenly get serious about holding Trump accountable in this case. I sure hope that they will, but I'm not holding my breath.

Still, the levels of hypocrisy by many in MAGA nation is, frankly, staggering. Remember when Donald Trump Jr. posted about the "scum bags" who refused to release the Epstein client list? He then went on to urge people to ask why they would do it, and then suggested that it is so logical that "the answer becomes very apparent!!"

Yeah, that didn't age too well, did it?

Below that, there is a video by Leeja Miller. She really sums up this whole situation quite well. It seemed worth sharing here.

Enjoy.
