Last year, I went to a Smashing Pumpkins concert with my son, and there were a few special surprise guests.
One of these was Courtney Love, which was a bit of a surprise on numerous levels, because I had always believed that there were still some serious lingering tensions between her and Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan.
Yet, there she was, on stage with his band. It was weird.
The two of them used to be in a romantic relationship, but then Love met Kurt Cobain, the frontman for Nirvana, and Corgan was history. It seemed like there were tensions there, and that the two did not exactly see eye to eye for a while thereafter.
Below is a link to an article in which Love claims that pretty much all of the Pumpkins major hits were actually about her. It is a bit of an old article, but I have been trying to clean up some of the unpublished posts, which means that I am posting some older stuff like this.
