Wyoming Billionaire Wants to Help Save the Planet By Buying A Good Chunk

There is a billionaire in Wyoming who wants to buy about 15 percent of the land on the planet in order to protect the wilderness there.

Maybe this is the new way to make environmental policies that would work? Relying on billionaires who should never have been allowed to obtain such ridiculous amounts of wealth in the first place to bail us out, presumably from the goodness of their heart?

Hell, maybe this will work. Maybe what we need are four or five other filthy rich billionaires to buy up the rest of the world, and make sure that all of this is environmentally friendly. Since we cannot in this country seem to rein in anything that billionaires do, perhaps we should rejoice when one of them, at least, wants to do something to help the coming environmental catastrophe that, frankly, billionaires were instrumental in helping to bring about in the first place.

Who knows?

All I know is that there should be far more urgency from everyone around the world to try and do something while there may still be time to do it.

In any case, this was a bizarre story, and from a quiet and unusual place that you usually do not hear all that much about. So, it seemed worth posting (and discussing, to some degree) here.

Below is the link to the Wyoming billionaire helping to save the planet story:
