Mother Elephant & Baby Attacked With Firebombs By Encroaching Humans?

Not entirely sure if this is a true story or not. 

It seems to show that a mother elephant and her baby were being attacked by human beings, although I am not sure that this could clearly and irrefutably be verified. 

You never know these days, right?

But if this is real, then it is yet one more depressing reality that makes me feel that if we as a human race get wiped out, or even mostly wiped out, then we will collectively (not necessarily individually) will have deserved it. We have brought utter destruction to some of the greatest, most dignified, and most beautiful things on this planet. And now that we are starting to understand that, it sometimes feels like some people are trying even harder to destroy as much as possible, and as quickly and completely as possible.

Sad.
