Today, the 7th of February marked two hundred years since the birth of one of the world's truly great authors in Charles Dickens.
Dickens is, of course, one of the most famous and distinguished authors in world history. He penned such immortal literary works as "A Tale of Two Cities", which I personally believe has likely the greatest opening line in literature. He also wrote other classic and immortal works, including "Oliver Twist", "Great Expectations" and "A Christmas Carol", to name but a few.
So, I thought it would be appropriate to make the occasion of the anniversary of his birth as a testament to the resounding greatness of the words and works of this true giant of literature, and the great contributions in compassion that his works were most famous for.
