Snow Covers Parts of Greece, Including the Acropolis

In recent years, I have tried to pay attention to the weather in places spanning the entire globe. This, with modern technology, is easier to do than ever before.

Well, I just noticed that Athens, Greece, of all places, has been shut down because of snow. It appears to get cool to chilly in Athens at times during the winters. But understandably, it is not known generally as a cold weather place. After all, Greece is a Mediterranean country This is a country with palm trees and plenty of sunshine and generally hot temperatures are commonplace. So to see someplace like the Acropolis covered in snow is really something.

So it seemed worth sharing the link to this particular story. There is a picture of the world famous Parthenon sitting atop the snowy Acropolis. Truly amazing stuff!
