Yes, today marks the 90th birthday of Yoko Ono, best known as being John Lennon's love interest from the late sixties until the end of his life.
Yoko Ono was an artist from Japan when she met Lennon. She continued to be an artist, and produced some music with him. Together, they also were political activists, particularly taking a strong anti-war stance and trying to promote peace.
Some people have attempted to accuse her of being responsible for breaking up the Beatles, even though both John Lennon and Paul McCartney have rejected that notion.
After Lennon's death, she remained as an activist. She raised Sean Lennon, the son she had with John, and seems to have done a very good job at that.
Happy 90th Birthday to Yoko Ono!
