Today Marks Mardi Gras 2023

 

Today marks the beginning of Mardi Gras. 

My son and I visited New Orleans a couple of years ago, and it was fun. I had always wanted to visit Louisiana, and New Orleans particularly, since I was a kid, especially coming from a French family. In many ways, it was a dream come true.

However, I also always wanted to visit New Orleans during the Mardi Gras season. This I have yet to do, although someday, hopefully, it can become a reality.

Meanwhile, it seemed fitting to mark this occasion nonetheless.
