NFL 2023-24 Week 11 Preview: Super Bowl Rematch on Monday Night Football

🏈🏈🏈🏈

The big game this week is the most obvious one: the Philadelphia Eagles will visit the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football. Not only is it a rematch of the two teams that met in the Super Bowl back in February, but these are also, arguably, still the two best teams in the league. It's not impossible that they may even meet in the Super Bowl again at the end of this season, although that seems unlikely. After all, it has only happened once before in Super Bowl history, when the Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills met in both Super Bowl XXVII and Super Bowl XXVIII. Whether or not they are the two best teams in the NFL, and whether or not they could meet in this coming Super Bowl, remains to be seen. But it is an interesting game, to say the least.

Of course, there are other games before that one. Let's take a look at Week 11, with my predictions:

NY Giants at Washington - This season has been a complete and utter disaster so far for the G-Men. They are all but officially eliminated from the playoff hunt, and have just looked terrible in far too many of those losses. They cannot get a break at the QB position, or their offensive line. And their defense has too frequently looked leaky, as well. Nothing would fix some of those problems, and at least stop the bleeding temporarily, quite like a win. And the G-Men seem to get the better of Washington more often than not. That said, they just have not been playing very well at all. Not sure if they even have another win in them this season, the way that things have been going. My pick: Washington

Chicago at Detroit - Don't look now, but the Lions are tied with the Kansas City Chiefs for the second best record in the NFL. Yes, the Detroit Lions! And they get to host this game against the Bears before their traditional Thanksgiving Day game, where they will host the Packers. The Bears have been playing fairly well in recent weeks, but this one is a tall order. My pick: Detroit

Pittsburgh at Cleveland - A huge AFC North divisional showdown. This will be for the right to be in sole possession of second place in the AFC North, and to pull within half a game of the division leaders, the Ravens. The Steelers, as a franchise, have traditionally tormented the Browns. Earlier this season, they squeezed past them to hand them a devastating loss in Pittsburgh. But the Browns have home field advantage in this one, and are brimming with confidence. They also would like to exact revenge for that earlier loss. I suspect that they will get it. My pick: Cleveland

Arizona at Houston - The Texans, quite suddenly and unexpectedly, are one of the hot teams that everyone is watching lately. C.J. Stroud seems to have a level of poise and confidence that is highly unusual for a rookie quarterback. So much is this the case that some are already pointing to him as the future of the NFL. Yes, the Texans are playing well, and should be able to get past the visiting Cardinals in this one. My pick: Houston

Tennessee at Jacksonville - The Titans have suffered through a terrible season thus far. They have been particularly atrocious on the road, where they have yet to manage a road win. And after the Jaguars just got wiped out at home by the 49ers, they should be focused on putting that embarrassment behind them and earning themselves a statement win. My pick: Jacksonville

LA Chargers at Green Bay - The Chargers and packers both have been quite inconsistent this season. But the Chargers have been a bit more consistent. They also feel like they are the better overall team between these two, and that should carry them. My pick: LA Chargers

Las Vegas at Miami - The Raiders are still in then playoff race, for now. They won two straight, both against the New York football franchises. But they are not ready to go down to Miami and limit that explosive offense enough for their own paltry offense to win this game. That feels like it is asking too much. My pick: Miami

Dallas at Carolina - The Panthers actually have a history of handing te Cowboys some terrible and devastating losses. However, this does not feel like one of those times. the Cowboys have been playing well in recent weeks, and they should win this one. My pick: Dallas

Tampa Bay at San Francisco - True, the Bucs snapped a four-game losing streak with a dominant win over the Titans last week. But does that mean that they can go on the road and beat a team as good as the 49ers out on the West Coast? Nah. My pick: San Francisco

Seattle at LA Rams - The Rams are a very inconsistent team. The Seahawks have been far more consistent. Also, the Rams have been simply terrible at home so far this season, for some reason. So I've got to go with the road team on this one. my pick: Seattle

NY Jets at Buffalo - Wow! What a game here, a huge AFC East showdown with a ton of possible playoff ramifications. As of now, both of these teams are on the outside looking in regarding the playoff picture. The Jets and Bills have both lost their last two games. The Bills are surely itching to pay Gang Green back for that early season stunning loss, which seemed to set the tempo for the disappointing season the Bills have been experiencing since. Still, neither team has been playing so well that they are a lock. This could go either way. That said, it's still hard for me to believe that the Bills, who are enormously talented, are as bad as they have looked lately, and that they are not at some point going to snap out of their current funk. My pick: Buffalo

Sunday Night Football - Minnesota at Denver - The Vikings are one of the hottest teams in the league, despite the fact that their starting quarterback, Kirk Cousins, is out for the season. But Joshua Dobbs has been incredible so far in taking over. So the Vikings have stayed hot. However, Denver is playing very well, and just pulled off a huge upset win up in Buffalo. That means that against all probability, they are actually still in the running for the playoffs. What an intriguing game this one is. Tough to make a call, but I'll go with the home team at Mile High. My pick: Denver

Monday Night Football - Philadelphia at Kansas City - What a huge game here! A possible Super Bowl preview. The team with the best overall record in the NFC (and the NFL, at least for now) visits the team with the best overall record in the AFC. KC has Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and a dangerous offense that can explode at any moment. They have legendary head coach Andy Reid. Also, they have one of the toughest defenses in the league. The Eagles, meanwhile, are not stomping on opponents this season quite like they seemed to do at this point last season. However, they keep on winning, and have suffered only one loss to date this season. If it is as close as last year's Super Bowl was, then this will not only be entertaining, but it culd go either way. Expect a great and entertaining game. Tough one to make a pick for. My pick: Kansas City
