NFL 2023-24 Week 11 Review: AFC North Showdown Between Bengals & Ravens in Baltimore

🏈🏈🏈🏈

Cincinnati Bengals (5-4) at Baltimore Ravens (7-3)

This will be a huge showdown between two of the favored teams of the AFC North. Both came into this season with a lot of high expectations. However, both teams will try to recover from disappointing home losses last weekend.

So far, the Ravens have met the high expectations, at least to this point. They are 7-3, enjoying one of the best records in the AFC. It is good enough for sole possession of first place in the AFC North. In the three losses which they have suffered, they did not lose by much, and seemed to play almost well enough to win in each of their three losses.

Indeed, the Ravens have been one of the most consistent teams this year, in a season which has not been about consistency as far as most teams are concerned.

As for the Bengals, they had struggled for most of the season, and had just gotten hot in recent weeks. They sported an impressive four game winning streak before losing at home to the Texans in last weekend's game. Yet despite how impressive they had looked before the loss, their record is such that even after just one loss ended their hot streak, people are once again questioning just how good this Cincy team is.

For the most part, it feels like the Bengals will go the way of their star QB, Joe Burrow. If he has a solid game, expect Cincinnati to have a solid overall game. If he has an outstanding game, I would expect the Bengals to win, most likely. More than most teams, it feels like the Bengals fortunes are riding on their one main guy, the one undeniable superstar on the team.

However, the Ravens defense will likely have something to say about that. This is one of the stingiest defenses in the league. The Bengals have a similarly tough defense when they are playing at their best. So that makes this an interesting one.

Expect a battle. But in the end, expect the Ravens to do just enough to pull off an important divisional win here to get back on track.

My pick: Baltimore
