NFL 2023-24 Week 11 Thursday Night Football Review: Ravens Beat Down Bengals in Baltimore

🏈🏈🏈🏈

Baltimore Ravens 34, Cincinnati Bengals 20

Another big AFC North showdown. And another disappointing step backwards for the Cincinnati Bengals, who have been very inconsistent this season. Just after a four game winning streak that saw them earn impressive wins over the 49ers at San Francisco and against Buffalo, they have now dropped two games in a row. Worse still for Cincy, Joe Burrow is out for the rest of the season with a wrist injury. That seriously hampers the Bengals chances for qualifying for the playoffs this season.

Indeed, the Ravens proved to be the team that bounced back from a disappointing loss the previous week. In so doing, they strengthened their hold on the lead in the AFC North.

Baltimore outgained Cincy by producing 405 yards, to just 272 for the Bengals. The time of possession was mostly even between the two teams, but Cincy really just could not produce any points, while the Ravens obviously could. Indeed, a late touchdown by the Bengals made this game appear than it actually was. In fact, the Ravens controlled the tempo from the start.

Now, the Ravens have improved to 8-3 on the season, and have earned more wins so far this season than any team in the AFC. The Bengals, meanwhile, drop to 5-5, and the road to qualify for the playoffs just got a whole lot rockier for the Bengals.

My pick: Accurate
