Novak Djokovic just won the Paris Masters, earning another title after not playing a single match since his historic US Open victory in September.
Now, all he needs is either one more win at the last remaining tournament this year - or a single loss by Carlos Alvarez - and he will clinch the year end number one ranking for an astonishing eighth time in his career. He already holds the record for the most year end number one rankings with seven.
What a year for Djokovic! Three Grand Slam titles, putting him solidly in front of every other man, and tied with only one woman for the most ever. Another year with at least 50 wins earned, something which he has now achieved 14 times in his career. Possibly, a record 8th year end number one ranking, as well. Obviously, another banner year for Djokovic, who continues to make his case for being considered the greatest tennis player of all time.
