Recently - possibly over the weekend - I saw somewhere how someone made a spoof about the frankly frightening god-like worship of Donald Trump that so many of the mindless MAGA moron cult have of Trump.
It was a spoof of the famous lyrics from that Simon & Garfunkel's song "The Sound of Silence." Using just one of the lyrics, it went something like "people bowed and prayed to the neon god they made."
Yes, it was a joke.
But some of this shit is real. People are so brainwashed that they think this pathetic man is actually a figure from God. Almost a divine figure himself.
Ran into this imagery, which was apparently really posted by Nick Adams, a conservative figure and influencer.
How can you even begin to have a rational discussion with people who think like this, or actually believe in this nonsense?
This is when the realities of our world begin to grow terrifying. Especially since their Orange God just broke all sorts of laws with the invasion of Venezuela, and immediately seemed to threaten Colombia and Cuba next, before once again setting his sights on Greenland. Let us remember that he also threatened military intervention in Mexico, Panama, and Gaza.
Oh, and he relentlessly undermined Canada's national sovereignty and repeatedly, relentlessly referred to Canada as the "51st state."
Since the beginning, there have been things like this image down below regarding Trump worship which have been both alarming yet often seemingly so absurd as to be almost funny.
But I stopped laughing a long time ago. Especially with this latest one, posted by Nick Adams.
All kidding aside, we are not contending against something grounded in sanity here.
What is happening here is literally insane.
Terrifying.
