Late Last Year, Australia Approved a Wonderful Bill Preventing Billionaires From Dominating Elections

Not too long ago, Australia passed a huge bill that effectively banned billionaires from influencing their elections.

Frankly, I wish we here in the United States were smart enough to pass this kind of common sense legislation to keep big (private) moneyed interest out of politics. This past election was dominated with asshole billionaires like Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Pete Thiel, and Jeff Bezos. And look at the harm that it has done.

Let's keep big money - and corporate culture more generally - out of politics. They did it in Australia. Why not here?
