I know that this surely sounds like exactly what Trump would describe it as, which is to say that it falls into the level of criticism that would seem to confirm a bias against him.
The thing is, Trump just exhibits far too many very strange, even sinister behaviors that really fall far short of normal. I mean, seriously: can you name anyone as narcissistic as him? Anyone at all? Who puts up their own name in bright, big letters atop skyscrapers over modern cities the world over? Who literally cannot admit to being wrong, even once? Who do you know who's only ability - and a slight one, at that - towards anything resembling a sense of humor is mean-spirited mockery of others? Who talks about themselves being a "very stable genius?" Who else has this kind of ego, or the insatiable appetite for more power and more power and more power, like Trump has?
Can this man walk by a mirror without falling in love, just like Narcissus did when he saw his own reflection in water in ancient Greek mythology?
There is literally almost no one in history who I can think of like that. And the few examples who I could name, I have to remain very cautious from actually naming, because then these sound like ridiculous, over-the-top comparisons. But let's just say: they are the kind of men that no one wants to be compared with, but who Trump has indeed been compared with on numerous occasions.
In short, there is something wrong with this man. This is not something new to anyone who has been listening to the criticisms, or paying attention these last three years and change, since this man became prominent on the American political landscape.
We also have heard warnings that this man exhibits behaviors that, frankly, betray a certain lack of mental stability.
This is another such warning, but it really is reaching a point where it is inescapable.
The really scary thought, however, is what this says about this country, when still, tens of millions of Americans still unconditionally support and - yes, let's say it - love this man!
Yet, the only one who love Donald Trump more than these people do would be...well, Donald Trump, of course.
