Last week, India intentionally destroyed one of its satellites with a missile. This was designed to show India's ascendancy to the status of being a "space power" in the world, at least according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Clearly, not everyone agrees.
NASA called it a "terrible, terrible thing, and NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine said that this posed an "unacceptable" risk to the astronauts on board the International Space Station.
