The election campaign has begun in Brazil. Leftist candidates will try to get rid of populist President Bolsonaro, who has often been compared to Donald Trump.
Another former president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, is throwing his hat into the ring. And he is really showing some anger and using his political leverage, claiming that Bolsonaro is "possessed by the devil."
Wow.
I remember Lula, who was quite popular in Brazil for some time. Not sure if he will be the leftist candidate to emerge or not. But it would be nice to see Bolsonaro defeated, just as Trump was defeated, and to see Brazil get a more normal, less polarizing leader.
Should be interesting to follow this election season in Brazil.
