Years ago, a woman posted a video of herself walking silently through the streets of New York. She was attractive, and so she received a lot of very unwelcome attention by men. Some of it was borderline disturbing and, in a few instances, some of it went well beyond being disturbing. The video was trying to illustrate just how common harrassment on the streets could be for an attractive woman who (seemed to be) on her own.
There was nothing funny about that video.
However, this video was done in response, but in a humorous manner. It was not meant to belittle or disregard the video of the woman walking the streets. But it was meant to be funny, and in that, I think it succeeded.
For whatever the reason, I remembered the video and started to want to see it again. So I found it, and thought it would be worth sharing here.
