Audioslave's 'Like a Stone' Reaches 1 Billion Views Milestone on YouTube

One of the best photos that I ever took at a concert. This is from when my girlfriend and I saw Chris Cornell in Reading, Pennsylvania, back on November 22, 2013. There are more pictures from that show below, at the bottom of this particular blog entry.

This actually happened last week. Somehow, I missed this news until this week.

Nevertheless, it seems relevant enough to post about it here. And it also feels almost like a promising, even encouraging sign. I have seen some of the music that has reached 1 billion views on Youtube. There are iconic classics in rock, from bands like the Beatles and Led Zep and the Stone and so on, who have not yet reached 1 billion. But other, more contemporary musicians - who feel more like flavor of the moment artists who likely will not be remembered in twenty or thirty years - have reached and, in some cases, even far surpassed the one billion views milestone.

So I was happy, personally, to hear that Chris Cornell and Audioslave have managed this feat, two decades now since this song was released!

Below is the link to the story that got me on this topic:
