The NHL preseason just started. And predictions are being made. Favorites are being announced.
One team that made some headlines are the Calgary Flames. They have made some major moves during the offseason, and have apparently positioned themselves to be considered favorites to win the Stanley Cup this coming season.
Not sure if it will happen or not.
However, it would be nice to finally see the curse for Canadian teams finally end. The spring of 1993 was the last time that a Canadian team hoisted the Cup in what is considered "Canada's sport." Let's hope that the Flames can end that long drought.
