NFL 2022-23 Thursday Night Football Week 6 Preview: Washington at Chicago

🏈🏈🏈🏈

Washington Commanders (1-4) at Chicago Bears (2-3)

Two teams that desperately need a win, and soon, if they want to salvage their chances to remain relevant this season.

That is especially true for Washington. They opened their season with a win, but have dropped four straight games since then. Washington scored a decent amount of points in both of their first games against Jacksonville and Detroit. Since then, however, they have scored a total of 35 points in three weeks, and have just looked dismal. Their defense can play decent,  but usually, they are too far behind to make a solid defensive effort stand up.

Like Washington, Chicago also has shown to have a decent defense. However, they have really struggled on the offensive end. Justin Fields does not appear to be the quarterback that some people believed he would be at this point. Patrick Mahomes, he is not.

Still, for all of their struggles, the Bears have played decently at home thus far this season. In fact, while they are winless so far on the road, they are actually unbeaten at home, at least for the time being. Expect that to remain the case after this one, which will likely be a low-scoring affair.

My pick: Chicago
