How I Feel About Anyone Found Guilty of Being Involved With Epstein's Child Sex Traffic List

This is a picture of a magnet that was being sold at Strand's Book Store in New York City a few years ago. No, I did not buy it, but I liked it and took a picture, which I am sharing here now.

This reflects how I feel about the Epstein Files.

If Bill Clinton - or anyone else - is guilty, then let them find themselves behind bars. That includes, but is not limited to, Donald Trump

Wait, am I saying that it would not bother me if Bill Clinton - someone ( (admittedly foolishly) voted for back in the nineties - was thrown in jail?

Yup, that's exactly what I am saying.

Hold on, it would not bother me if he apparently fooled me into believing that he is something that he is not (namely, an innocent man)?

Nope. Not one bit. Nor would it be the first time that a politician has fooled people in that same way. But we can learn from mistakes, can't we?

What about the hit to national prestige? After all, Bill Clinton was once president. Do you really think that he (or Donald Trump) should sit and rot behind bars after having been the elected face and voice of the nation?

Again, assuming that they are guilty, then absolutely. In fact, as far as it hurting national pride or compromising the nation's image around the world, my own suspicion is that it does far more damage if we send the message that our elites are allowed to get away with this bad behavior, that they are exempt from consequences for their own crimes.

So yeah, by all means, lock anyone who partook in the Epstein child sex traffic controversy, whether or not they visited Epstein Island (but especially if they visited it). It sure seems to me that Donald Trump is guilty of it, and it would not bother me to see his ass thrown in jail for life for it. Let him rot.

That said, I am not holding my breath. Trump has gotten away with pretty much everything that he has done, and that includes a lot of criminal conduct. From not paying contractors during his business days to all of the scams and cons which he so masterfully pulled off to now the scams and blatant corruption which he is getting away with during his political career.

If he's guilty of being a pedophile, of having sexual relations with underage girls, then by all means, lock him up. Throw away the keys.

Same with Bill Clinton, even if he's not MAGA, or a Republican. Even if some view him as a darling of the Democrats. Yeah, if he's guilty, lock his ass up.

Ditto with Noam Chomsky, if he's guilty. Yes, he's a great thinker and wrote some very thought-provoking books, expressed some profound ideas. There are some great quotes there. Yet if he's guilty - if he's guilty - then sure, lock him up.

Let the message be sent and made clear that no one is above the law. Not the wealthy, not great intellectuals, and not presidents, sitting or former. It does not matter. Nobody should be above the law. If they are guilty - and these are particularly heinous crimes we are talking about - then let them pay the price. Let them lose any good reputation, any influence. Let them be discredited, any works that they did be tarnished by their now compromised legacy. Indeed, let the world know their monstrous side, and most importantly, that they were not above paying the price.

To me, it seems clear that this would be the only way to stop this, to crack down on it and minimize the chances of it happening again.

So yeah, I want Trump behind bars. And Clinton, if he's guilty. Same with Noam Chomsky, who also was apparently named on the Epstein list (although in his case, as I understand it, he was merely friends with, and not a client of, Jeffrey Epstein. That said, if indeed there is some evidence of him being guilty of pedophilia, then same thing as Clinton. Throw his ass in jail and throw away the keys.

What's so hard about that?

Guess I might feel differently if I engaged in cult behavior, and if it was the leader of my cult who was charged with these crimes. If I was more heavily invested in what used to be my support for Clinton, with Clinton flags and Clinton dolls and Clinton hats and t-shirts and pants and golden sneakers, and if I dressed up my toy truck so that it was all decked out in pro-Clinton gear and became a mobile advertisement for my idiocy, then maybe I might feel more reluctant to hold him accountable.

Then again, I personally believe that we need to maintain some distance for the sake of objectivity, precisely so that we do not get so caught up in supporting people who wind up being horrible, low-life people.

That's why I never was tempted to join Trump's mindless MAGA moron cult. And it's why I turned away from the Democrats, many of whom have a similar mentality and unwillingness to criticize anyone on their side of the political aisle.

As I see it, my job as an American citizen (one might say my patriotic duty) is not to pick one side or the other, and then endlessly support my chosen side and demonize the other side. No, my job is to try and remain informed and - this is important - remain fair and objective. Not to worship so-called leaders, but to hold every single politician in national office responsible and accountable for any wrongdoing.

How did we ever allow ourselves to become a country where people on both sides are so cowardly that they cannot even criticize their own candidates or admit when they do wrong?

It seems to me that as a nation, we would be far better off to stop pretending that we are above the rest of the world, that our leaders are somehow above the grotesque abuses that too many elites around the world have historically given in to, and to not punish them and sweep it under the rug if they indeed are found to have been guilty of such horrible behavior.

So if Trump or Clinton or Chomsky - or anybody found guilty of being on the Epstein List or having been involved in any real way with the child sex trafficking that Epstein seemed to lead - then lock them up. Let them serve as a disgraced example of how nobody is above the law. Let them serve the best interests of the country, even if (perhaps especially if) that means rotting in jail for the duration of their miserable lives, never to be heard from again.

Below is a picture of the Facebook post (see link below) which got me on this topic. It is sarcastic, obviously, and meant to point out how difficult it becomes for anyone who engages in cult behavior, with someone like Trump being the central figure of a cult of personality, to admit that "their guy" actually might be far from perfect. May even have committed very serious crimes and, frankly, deserves to be held accountable for it. After all, maybe some of the wild enthusiasm of the MAGA cult has died down just a little bit. But we still see some morons waving their Trump flags, some behind toy pickup trucks, and still see plenty of mindless MAGA morons expressing their unwavering support of the man even though he has shifted so completely on this all-important subject of the sex traffic circle apparently headed by Jeffrey Epstein:
