This is not the weekend, admittedly. Usually, I do these funnies on the weekends. Yet, it seemed like I did not post anything particularly humorous this past weekend.
Yet, I ran into this one. It was funny. And I just did not want to wait until this weekend.
Here is a quite humorous Facebook post by comedian and noted Trump basher Andy Borowitz, who poked fun at Dear Leader's obsession with being acknowledged and given official recognition of the greatness he feels he embodies and is entitled to. As an illustration of this point, you may all remember how he loudly proclaimed himself deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize, and then even more loudly cried foul when he did not receive it. The irony of then talking about striking boats in the Caribbean and making sure to kill people very shortly - almost in the next breath, figuratively speaking - was apparently lost on him and the entire mindless MAGA cult.
So this felt like something worth sharing here. Because we need to keep our humor, need to keep smiling and laughing and recognizing that however much Trump tries to dominate our lives, there is so much more to life than him. Or to the current political realities in the United States, or the world more generally.
Take a moment to laugh, and to enjoy a good joke. To enjoy life, every now and then. To stay sane throughout all of this insanity that we are seeing every single day.
