A History of Krampus For December 6th, The Traditional Day For This Holiday Season Nightmare

We have entered the holiday season.

One of the most unusual traditions, which was particularly prominent in central and eastern Europe, is the legend of Krampus, a sort of winter season demon, or devil or sorts.

December 6th is the traditional date when people celebrated (if that is the word for it) the appearance of Krampus.

It seemed fitting to publish this little post, with an article attached that explores the history of Krampus, who abducted bad children. Apparently, many children assumed that this was real, and had nightmares about being taken away from their lives and severely punished for their bad behavior for the holiday season.
