The draw for next year's World Cup has now happened. We know which countries will be in which groups.
Okay, well, not all of the teams. Some teams still need to qualify. But we have a very good idea of what the groups will look like.
Traditionally, there was always one particular group which stood out for having multiple tough teams, often referred to as the "Group of Death." Not entirely sure if maybe I am missing something, but I am not seeing a group that is quite like that. Maybe Group F looks to be tough. Perhaps Group H looks like it has some really tough teams. So does Group L.
However, in most groups, there are clear-cut favorites for some of the higher ranked teams to emerge as Group winners. It makes me wonder if this, also, is not a product of the competition being a bit watered down with so many teams. Remember, this World Cup goes from the 32 that have traditionally qualified to a whopping 48 teams.
Who knows?
In any case, here is a picture of the different groups taken from the BBC Sport Facebook page.
Take a look and see what you think. And please feel free to share any thoughts.
