Some Pre-Dawn Pictures From Today's Snowstorm

Last night and into this morning, we in New Jersey received our first truly significant, measurable snowstorm.

True, we had received a tiny bit of snow during a few storms. But those were just an inch or two, mostly enough to coat the roads and grass and such. This storm was a bit more serious, with measurable snow. Enough to get the plows and snow-clearing crews out.

Since I was working, and thus out and about, it seemed like a good idea to take some early morning pictures, before the daylight hit.

Below are some of those unaltered pictures. Some of them came out really nicely, particularly the first one. The sky was dark at around 4:45 in the morning, which was around the time when I took these pictures. Yet, because of the surrounding lights, it gave a strange sort of lighting that really came out well in the picture. It almost looks like a manufactured background, even though that is not the case.

They seemed worth sharing here.

Enjoy.
